About J Santi
J Santi (John J Santiago IV) is a singer-songwriter, artist, multi-instrumentalist, and bandleader from New York whose sound sits at the crossroads of Blues, Soul, Rock, R&B, and Americana. A natural storyteller with a raw emotional center, his music blends powerful vocal delivery with an unmistakable blues-infused guitar style shaped by icons like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Freddie King, and Jimi Hendrix.
His creative path began from a place of profound loss. At just 13, J Santi experienced the sudden passing of his first love in a tragic car accident, a moment that altered the course of his life. Searching for an outlet, he turned to writing, pouring his confusion and grief into poetry. By 15, those words evolved into songs as he began singing in a band with friends, discovering that writing and performing provided a sense of grounding and emotional release unlike anything else.
When the band dissolved, his commitment only deepened. Teaching himself guitar, he quickly found his voice as both a player and a songwriter. The instrument became a lifeline, an extension of the therapeutic process that anchored his early creative years.
Today, songwriting remains central to J Santi’s identity. His lyrics are vulnerable, direct, and unafraid to explore deeply personal terrain. Every song carries his belief that music is a powerful tool of self-reflection and healing. Whether leading his band on stage or writing alone late into the night, he channels a lifetime of experience into music that is soulful, honest, and unmistakably his own.
